Hi,
ReplyDeleteJust saw your Facebook post and thought that i woulld add the following the rthe list:
- X-Treme sour straps, lifesavers, wrigleys chewing gum, hubba bubba gum,
- Gelative Sorbets
- Kettle Original Chips
- Nanna's Mini Light Apple pies
Hello! Thanks so much for your fast contribution :) Will add the now!
DeleteHi Madison
Deleteso i was in coles today and i saw...
Coles Organic Popcorn
Cool 10 pk Popcorn
Yumi's kalamata olive dip
Yumi's Sweet potato & cashews dip
Coles split Green Olives with chilli & garlic
..awesome list Madison ..ill let you knw of any future findings!!
Thanks so much Kara! I will add them now :D
DeleteThe Yumi's Sweet Potato and Cashew one has eggs in it :(
Delete"AVAILABLE IN: 200g & 2kg
INGREDIENTS: Sweet Potato (45%), Roasted Cashews (15%), Vegetable Oil, Vinegar, Water, Fresh Coriander, Eggs, Brown Sugar, Garlic, Salt, Spices, Preservatives (202, 211).
MAY CONTAIN TRACES OF FISH and SESAME SEEDS."
Oh and so does the Kalamata Olive one:
Delete"INGREDIENTS: Kalamata Olives (30%0, Green Olive, Vegetable Oil, Eggs, Vinegar, Sugar, Salt, Spices, Acidity Regultor (330)."
However, there are heaps that are vegan! As listed in the above list. It is great that there are so many vegan types from that brand :)
Maddi,
ReplyDeleteI just emailed you but I thought of another couple of sweet additions; Arnott's lemon crisp biccies, weis fruit sorbet, some of the aeroplane jellies!
And I am pretty sure that the strawberry oreos that you listed may not be vegan? i will check next time I am there.
Thank you again for you great list. I will keep emailing you any from woolies and coles that I think of.
Hello Emily,
DeleteA big thank you to you for all of your emails and FB messages! It has really helped the list. I haven't added everything from your emails but I will do so in the morning. It is 10:58pm here and my eyes are way too sore from looking at the computer screen to continue typing. Will add them all in the morning. Feel free to keep adding to the list. Thanks again :)
Just wanted to let you know the home brand Coles tomato sauce is vegan :)
DeleteMy wife has a big vegan list for aldi, woolworths and coles. She is happy to send you them all so that you can add them to your lists. I will email you the attachment. It is a pdf doc. thanks!
ReplyDeleteWe just wanted to add the sakata range, vitawheats, many of the soft drinks. There is also heaps of vegan breads and wraps. We will send you the doc. Thanks
I would love this list!!
DeleteI would love this list!!
DeleteHi Jack! Thanks so much. I would love you to send us the list :) We are all in this together and it would be amazing to have heaps of people contribute to the list :)
DeleteI would LOVE this list. I am a chef providing customised home cooked vegan meals for the people in inner west sydney. Any chance I could see it?
DeleteCan i please have that list from aldi as well
DeleteCan i please have that list from aldi as well
DeleteI would love a copy too please.
DeleteHi could I have all 3 lists??
DeleteColes home brand tomato sauce is vegan
DeleteOh wow, is Nesquik vegan there? It wasn't over here last time I checked, but I'm definitely going to keep an eye on it. We're also avoiding palm oil at the moment because of all the issues with that, so a lot of our favourite vegan products are out now :(
ReplyDeleteHi Natasha! I didn't see palm oil in the ingredients but please tell me if I need to take anything off of the list! :) Thanks! Oh, and feel free to add to it too
DeleteWe don't get most of these products in South Africa, but Fry's is from here. There's palm oil in the puff pastry for their pies. The ingredients only say vegetable oil, but I asked them and it's palm oil. I loved those pies :(
DeleteThe Oreos here also have palm oil, I don't know if they're the same all over. Ours used to have milk in and now they're vegan, but we still can't eat them.
There's some new vegan companies that are going to have their food available in our area soon, so I'm very excited.
I will check them out. I didn't see palm oil in our oreos last time I checked but I will look again soon!! :)
DeleteSeems like products are different in each country! How strange.
Thanks for the info!
Hi,
DeleteSorry I had no other way of writing this message, without being anonymous . As I don't have anything listed. My question is.... Can someone please confirm if the ingredients of this cereal is vegan friendly. Also what are sulphites and is it vegan friendly?
(Names Paul)
http://www.basco.com.au/product-apple-apricot-cereal/
Hi Paul,
DeleteIt looks vegan to me. Although, if you are really worried it is probably best to contact the company.
Sulfites are chemical compounds found naturally in grapes, garlic and other plants. Sulfites are used as a food preservative or enhancer.
Hope this helps :)
Hi Madison, thanks for this list, it is great! Just with reference to your comment above, Oreos have palm oil in them. Palm oil is usually listed as "vegetable oil" in most product packaging.
DeleteHi Sylvia. Thank you. Will remove them now!
DeleteHi Madison, love your blog! Well, the Oreos are still vegan because they contain no animal products, but they contain palm oil. So it really depends on what you class as vegan (or not...). I would leave them on the list... for those who are new vegans might appreciate it. PS: Your list led me to buy Sanitarium So Good Chocolate ice cream.... OMGosh! Thank yoU!!!!! I haven't had ice cream since going veggie! <3
DeleteMaggi 2 minute noodles (and other noodle brands like Fantastic, Trident, Mi Goreng) flavour sachets contain E631, an additive derived from animal products. So they are not vegan. I recommend buying a pack of plain noodles (Fantastic brand sell a big bulk packet with no flavour sachets)and cooking them with some Massel veggie stock instead.
ReplyDeleteThanks! Will take them off now :)
DeleteE631 can also be derived from plant starch, what we really should be doing is asking food label authorities to legislate some kind of indicator for plant-derived and animal-derived ingredients. This would be welcomed by not only vegans and vegetarians, but people of various religious faiths, and people with food intolerances, so the benefits would be very widespread.
DeleteI have confirmation from Maggi that the 631 they use in 2 minute noodles is plant derived, making them vegan. They can send you a list of vegan friendly items if you ask for it (they also have a vegetarian friendly list which was sent by mistake)
DeleteThank you!
DeleteHowdy Madison thank you for your list. It really helps us when we are grocery shopping. I have always used your woolworths list but i am so happy that you have done a coles one. are you going to do an aldi one too? I would really like an aldi one!
ReplyDeletejust wanted to say that the sanitarium snitzels now contain egg white :( also, you could add to the list: arnotts choc ripple biscuits and praise lite dijonaise
thanks again for everything you and jerome do
Hello! I have just removed the Sanitarium Tender Schnitzels and have added you other ones! Thanks so much for the contribution. Please keep adding hehe :)
DeleteOh and yes we are working on the Aldi list right now! :)
DeleteSadly Arnott's still use palm oil in their biscuits, pretty much any time you see an unspecified vegetable oil in an ingredients list it will be palm oil, particularly when the product has greater than negligible levels of saturated fat. http://www.orangutan.org.au/palm-oil has some good tips on how to spot palm oil in products, they claim that about half of Australian food products use it.
DeleteHi there!
ReplyDeleteThis is so amazingly helpful. I just want to say you are all my heros. Nice, nice job people.
Hi Karen! Thanks for your comment :)
DeleteThe last time I looked at the ingredients of Strawberry Nesquik it had colour 120 in it. Have they changed the 'recipe'? That would be great it they have. I know the Banana flavour IS vegan too.
ReplyDeleteThanks for putting this list together. There are many, many savoury items I wasn't aware were vegan on here.
Hello Nina! I will check when I go to the grocery store next. These are the ingredients of the chocolate nesquik:
DeleteINGREDIENTS:
SUGAR, COCOA PROCESSED WITH ALKALI, SOY LECITHIN, CARRAGEENAN, SALT, ARTIFICIAL FLAVORS, SPICE. VITAMINS AND MINERALS: CALCIUM CARBONATE, ASCORBIC ACID (VITAMIN C), ZINC OXIDE, PYRIDOXINE HYDROCHLORIDE (VITAMIN B6), COPPER GLUCONATE, MANGANESE
To me it looks vegan? But I will double check in the store too! :) Thanks so much. Please feel free to keep adding and removing to the list!
Hi Madison, thanks so much for putting this list together. There are loads of savoury items on this list I was unaware of.
ReplyDeleteThe last time I checked the Strawberry Nesquik it had colour 120 in it. Seems as though I should check it again. :) Oh, the Banana flavour is vegan too.

Great list thank you :) I think i must be confused as to the tiny teddies, the only chocolate ones i found from Arnotts had honey in them so not vegan.. so close though.. did i confuse it with another brand?
ReplyDeleteHello! Last time I checked they were vegan... but the caramel and chocolate chip were not. I will check them at the shops next time I am there :)
DeleteHi Madison! Ive only just stumbled on your website & I love it so so much! :D
ReplyDeleteAlso, thank you for that great Coles list, there are certainly a lot of products on there that I just "assumed" weren't vegan.
What a great job you are doing, thanks again...& I look forward to spending many more hours trawling through the sight.
CHeers! xxx
Hello Leanne! Oh I am so glad that you like Veggieful :) I hope you find some yummy recipes to make and that the information is useful to you! Thanks for the comment :D
DeleteIt's always handy to have lists like these, but at first glance there are a couple of clarifications that should probably be made. Kellogg's coco pops are no longer vegan, as they contain lanolin-based vitamin D, and I'm fairly certain that their whole range is questionable considering a search for 'vegan' products on their website turns up zero results!
ReplyDeleteAlso, with the frosty fruits you should probably make it clear that only the tropical ones (not sure of their actual name) are vegan, as the watermelon and lemon, lime and bitters ones both contain 120 :(
Hope this helps! :)
Oh it really helps! Thanks so much for your contribution. It is comments like yours that help our list become more accurate! :) Thanks a lot!
DeleteJust took them off the list after searching the ingredients online. Thanks again!!!
DeleteHi Madison,
ReplyDeleteFantastic blog you have here! I stumbled across it one day and have been hooked since! : )
Just thought I should mention Yumi's eggplant dips have egg in them. Surprising and kind of unnecessary, I believe! Not 100% sure about the eggplant & zaatar as I haven't actually seen that one before, but the Mediterranean definitely does.
Hope you find this helpful : )
Hi Kate!
DeleteThanks so much for your kind words and for your contribution.
I will take it off right now! Thanks :D
The La Zuppa soup range at Coles has some vegan soups: Tuscan Vegetable, Spinach & Chickpea, Minestrone, Moroccan Pumpkin & Chickpea, and Pumpkin. They used to have a lentil one too but they don't seem to make that any more.
ReplyDeleteSome of their soups are at Woolworths too - I've seen the Moroccan Pumpkin & Chickpea one there.
Hello! Thanks for your additions. Will add them soon :)
DeleteThis must have been exhausting to put together, but is very much appreciated! :)
ReplyDeleteMy pleasure :) It is a contribution from many people :D
DeleteHello (:
ReplyDeleteI don't know if you know but unfortunately Mentos aren't vegan..
Somebody emailed the company and they said:
"Some Mentos products contain a small amount of bees wax. Therefore we advise that our Mentos products are suitable for vegetarians, however they are not suitable for vegans. "
:(
Chelsey
Hi Chelsey,
DeleteThanks for the comment and contribution. I will remove Mentos now!
You should add CSR Golden Syrup. It is available at both Coles and Woolies and is deffo vegan. Since sugar isn't processed with bone char in Australia, it should be safe! And it is such a great alternative to avage, and maple syrup, especially price wise.
ReplyDeleteYour blog is lovely and has become a regular tab open on my browser. Both you and Jerome are lovely too. Keep up the good work!
Suzi x
Hi Suzi,
DeleteGood idea... I use golden syrup regularly! I love it... so delicious and caramely.
Thanks for your kind words :)
Hi there =)
ReplyDeleteJust thought i would add, coles strawberry topping has colour 120 in it =(
Thanks for the info! I have removed it :)
DeleteHi Madison
ReplyDeleteI discovered your website today, and I just LOVE it!
Here's two vegan favourites of mine at Coles:
Freedom Foods Chick Pea Chips and Freedom Foods Vege Spread (both in the health food section).
Best wishes to you and Jerome, and please keep adding to your wonderful vegan resource!
Karen
Hey Madison, a delicious new treat is available at Coles and I am obsessed. Fino Confections, they are like soft jellies. There is a berry pack and a citrus pack. I think their website is finoconfections.com.au
ReplyDeleteThe berry one is the best!! Love them!!
DeleteHi I am new to the vegan lifestyle and just wondered if all the items on the list or items in general in coles have something that states they are vegan friendly or if you just know what to look for in the ingredients?
ReplyDeleteThanks :)
Hello! You normally have to look at the ingredients. Some items in the health food section may say vegan on them. On the other hand, Aldi has the word vegan listed on many of their products. Thanks!
DeleteHi, i found some vegan products you might like to add.
ReplyDelete'Mighty Soft Burger Buns'
(I even emailed the company to make sure they're vegan, and they said they are free from dairy and eggs).
'Masterfoods BBQ Sauce'
'Masterfoods Tomato Sauce'
'Masterfoods Sweet and Sour Sauce'
Hello! Thanks so much. Will add them now :)
DeleteHi Madison,
ReplyDeleteGreat list!
I emailed the Tilda rice company about their microwave rice products - here's the reply:
The Tilda Steamed Basmati products are suitable for vegans EXCEPT Egg Fried, Sun Dried Tomato, Butternut Squash and Roasted Pepper & Courgette.
(They're available from both Coles and Woolworths).
Thanks for your work :)
DeleteOreos are not vegan, they contain whey.
ReplyDeleteHi Aerilia,
DeleteIn Australia, the original chocolate oreos are vegan. They do not contain whey or other animal products.
HI.
ReplyDeleteI noticed you put skittles under the lollies section, assuming most people are vegan due to the poor treatment of animals I would like to point out that the Mars company, responsible for skittles, are notorious for hideous animal testing. I would suggest having a read of the below link if you'd like more information because I personally do not consider them vegan at all, just like cosmetics that are tested on animals are not vegan.
http://marscandykills.com/
Will remove them now. Thanks.
DeleteColes brand corn chips might be vegan but idk if they use palm oil. i would hope not. LEDA do milk arrowroot bickies now but so far I can only find them at IGA. La Zuppa rustic veggie soup is also vegan but not sure if that stuff is stocked in Coles, my local Coles stores don't stock it. Greens maple-flavoured syrup is vegan and they stock it pretty much everywhere. Amantoth jams are vegan too, I love the strawberry one.
ReplyDeleteHi Aerilia,
DeleteThanks for your contributions but I will only add items if we are sure that they are vegan. If you are sure something is vegan please add it to the list and attach an ingredients list if possible.
Thank you!
hi! i just found your list :D i'm a study abroad and i'll only live here for a semester, so it's great to have this list since i don't know what products are vegan or not in australia :) good job!
ReplyDeleteHi Julia! I am so glad :)
DeleteHi, came across a Vegan (I think being newbie to this) sweet summer smoothie slurpee freezer idea. They are called 'Smooze' and made predominantly of Coconut milk (80%). My partner and I tried the simply coconut and coconut and mango variety on the weekend and loved them. Available from Coles and Woolworths :) Tam
ReplyDeleteThank you! Will check it out.
DeleteHi Madison
ReplyDeleteNew to Coles in the health food aisle, and all labelled as vegan:
Dr McDougall's Miso Ramen Noodle Soup
Dr McDougall's Pad Thai Noodle Soup
Dr McDougall's Asian Entrée Teriyaki Noodle
Dr McDougall's Asian Entrée Pad Thai Noodle
Eskal Noble Choice Dairy Free Dark Chocolate
Eskal Noble Choice Dairy Free Dark Chocolate With Roasted Almonds.
Cheers
Karen
Thank you! I will add them now :)
DeleteLove these:
ReplyDeleteDr McDougall's Miso Ramen Noodle Soup
Dr McDougall's Pad Thai Noodle Soup
Dr McDougall's Asian Entrée Teriyaki Noodle
Dr McDougall's Asian Entrée Pad Thai Noodle
I have added them :)
DeleteBarefruit Crunchy Cinnamon Apple Chips 99.9% apple 0.1% cinnamon Found in the health food section. Sooo good!
ReplyDeleteCadbury Drinking Chocolate is also vegan.
ReplyDeleteSanitarium Deli Luncheon has egg whites in it, sadly... am Looking forward to making my own version though if I find a good enough recipe :)
ReplyDeleteOh no sorry! I got it confused with the Deli Slices, the Luncheon is fine!
ReplyDeleteHehe ok! Thanks.
DeleteHi Madison, Coles and Woolworths sell Cocobella coconut water, I didn't see this on your list ♥
ReplyDeleteGreat! Thank you :)
DeleteThis is fantastic! For someone like me who is transitioning to a vegan lifestyle and is unsure of the choices out there this is the best guide ever! I wish you would develop an app or a shopping list, I would definitely buy it!
ReplyDeleteOh I am so glad. Thank you :)
DeleteHi, just want to say this site is BRILLIANT. I'm considering veganism but one of my concerns was how complicated it looked having to go through every single thing I ate to check it was vegan friendly. A list like this, specific to supermarkets as well? Abso-bloody-lutely perfect. THANK YOU so much! Do you think you could do a post about common everyday non-vegan things we should be aware of? Like leather boots? Or a make up line that uses animal testing?
ReplyDeletexx, love, Jess
Thanks so much for your comment. I am so happy that this list was useful to you! I will think about doing a couple of posts like that :)
DeleteThanks for the list. Big help for a newbie.
ReplyDeleteBut......"Coles Organic Canned Spaghetti" - the most disgusting thing I've ever eaten from a can.
Is it? Oh well I will remember not to try it :)
DeleteNot everyone will like the same thing, everythings worth trying at least once! Especially with the right flavourings/herbs added :)
Delete'Soy Life Vanilla Crème Yoghurt 2 pack' is another great vegan yoghurt.
DeleteHello, I found Soy Life vanilla creme yoghurt at Coles. It contains water, sugar, soy protein, maltodextrin - from tapioca, thickeners - 1422, 1442 from maize & tapioca, dextrose, inulin - dietary fibre, canola oil, stabilisers - 440, 412, mineral salt - 452, flavour, food acids - 331, 296, natural color - 150, live yoghurt cultures.
ReplyDeleteHi my husband and I vegan newbies and are unsure of a lot food items but this list definately helps so thank you Madison. I was just wondering if anyone knows if S&B golden curry for sale in Coles is vegan friendly? Thank you
ReplyDeleteEmulsifiers 471 and 477 are usually derived from animal products unless indicated it comes from something such as Soy.
ReplyDeleteThe Sanitarium So Good Ice Creams you listed have these ingredients. Coles even lists them as containing milk through their online shopping.
All vegans should look up any words they are not familiar with.
Also, certain company brands are notorious for animal cruelty such as testing, as indicated in another comment referring to companies such as Mars. Buyer beware.
Btw, thanks so much for taking the time to make this list. It's great someone took the time out to make it easier for vegans, especially newbies.
'Bulla Sherbet Fruity Pops' are vegan and soo yummy!
ReplyDeleteI read lot of earlier posts and it says about palm oil,I need to know what does palm oil contain which is not suitable for vegans.
ReplyDeleteHi Prash. Palm oil is a vegan product but as most vegans are very ethically conscious they avoid it as the forests which home the orangutans are quickly being destroyed, along with the orangutangs, just so more palm oil crops can be grown.
DeleteHi! Your list is amazing...theres so many things that i didnt realise coles had a vegan option for!
ReplyDeleteAnyway, just wanted to add a few items to your list:
- coles vegetable gyozas
- Syndian asian bean & kumera
- tasty bite bombay potatoes / punjab eggplant
- uncle bens single serve brown rice packs
- RW garcia organic blue maize tortilla chips
Arnotts Barbeque shapes aren't vegan, it has Flavour Enhancer(E635) which generally comes from meat and fish
ReplyDeleteHi!
ReplyDeleteI've been vegan for just over 2 months now and am still getting used to it and always learning new things that I can/cannot have. Just want to say this post was a HUUUUUGE help!!!! Such a great idea so thank you so so so SO much!!! xx
Oh yay! Our pleasure :)
DeleteHi, just wanted to let you know, I checked the ingredients of Arnott's BBQ shapes & they have Worcestershire sauce in them & Worcestershire sauce has anchovies in it. Cheers
ReplyDeleteGreat! I'll update now. Thanks.
DeleteJust wanted to add Salsa to the list c: my favourite and totally vegan c:
ReplyDeleteMy favorite vegan Coles find has been Bombay Potatoes by Tasty Bite. A microwave meal never tasted this good ever.
ReplyDeleteThis is such an extensive list, thankyou! I know it's an enormous task but it would also be so great to know which of these foods are gluten free or grain free!
ReplyDeleteNannas frozen choc filled churros!!! so gooooddd
ReplyDeleteHi (: I was wondering, are the So good ice-creams vegan? I heard they changed their ingredients slightly? (I love this Coles list you've created !!)
ReplyDeleteHi! I found this so useful! thank you!! ♡♡ I also discovered some more vegan snacks that can be added to the list:
ReplyDelete> Pringles - original & sweet chilli flavour
> Majans Bhuja Snacks - Nut Mix
> The Wholesome food company Popcorn - Raspberry, Cinnamon, Kale & Quinoa Flavours
> Coles Salted Pretzels
So not sure how recently it has been changed but unfortunately the Coles brand Gyoza now contain crustacea.
ReplyDeleteNesquick Strawberry isn't vegan, it has colour 120 in it
ReplyDeleteWould anyone know if the Arnott's Barbecue flavoured Shapes are vegan?? xx

ReplyDeleteArnotts Raspberry Shortcake Biscuits and Sunbeam Energy Bites (Apricot and Coconut and Date and Cacao)

ReplyDeleteSome things that are missing: Coles brand tomato sauce (says vegan on the bottle), Coles brand soups - Mexican Bean flavour, Quinoa & sweet potato flavour, Bonsoy soy milk, Amy's Kitchen canned soups - Lentil flavours, Split pea flavour, Celebrate Health recipe bases - Tuscan Meatball, Chinese Beef Stirfry, Teriyaki Chicken, Indian Butter Chicken flavours, Bio Cheese, Nuttelex coconut oil spread, Kraft Promite (spread), Coles organic drinking chocolate (powder), Eclipse mints, Soothers, Mentos - mint and fruit flavours, Cobs popcorn - lightly salted slightly sweet, sea salt flavours, Kettle chips - sea salt, salt & vinegar, chili flavours, Helga's bread, Kellogs coco pops. It would also be good to put a note next to the Vitasoy listing that the purple Vitasoy is not vegan (non-vegan D), and the vegan Cottees topping is 'thick n rich'.
Oh... and the Maggi noodles - several vegan groups on fb have confirmed that all the flavours are vegan, is this right? :/
ReplyDeleteNot sure but thank you so much for your amazing work :)
DeleteCottee's Thick and Rich Chocolate flavored topping seems okay - water, sugar, maize thickener (1442), cocoa powder, chocolate flavour, food acid (330), salt, preservative (202), vegetable gum (415).
ReplyDeleteAlso, for those looking for vegan vitamin D tablets, Coles have the Nature's Way brand which is labelled as vegan
Its already on the list but thank you anyway :)

DeleteIs coles canola spread vegan?
ReplyDeleteHey, can you confirm whether original digestive biscuits are vegan? Some forums say they aren't, but the package listed ingredients look vegan to me. Maybe they use a different recipe here in australia? I don't know! Would love some confirmation :)
ReplyDeleteHey I saw these at Coles http://shop.coles.com.au/online/national/soy-life-yoghurt-vanilla-creme-2-pack They say vegan friendly, I couldnt see them on your list if you want to add them :)
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for this list! always exciting to find vegan foods. To my knowledge these are vegan: Coles black & strawberry licorice, (twists & soft) Allen's jellybeans, (the numbers might be animal derived?) Nesquik cereal & Simply Better soy cheese.
ReplyDeleteVegemite is vegan. However the company has said that due to having diffrent manufacturers at certain times of the year it is only vegan at certisn times. To check if its currently vegan there should be a little 'V' at the bottom of the jar next to the expiry date.
ReplyDeleteQuorn Vegan range is now at coles. Which is the Quorn Vegan Nuggets and Quorn Vegan Snitzels.

ReplyDeletePlease remove mentos candies off your list. If you go to their website it clearly states that mentos candies have beeswax in them making them unsuitable for vegans.
ReplyDeleteHello, Coles Ready To Eat Caramel Popcorn is not vegan anymore. Please update the list.

Hi Guys: I am pure vegeterian (no eggs). Just checking if coles branded light vanilla ice cream (2 ltr) id suitable for vegeterians. The imprint on the product say so but just wanted to be sure.
ReplyDeleteThx, RJ
just wanted to add
ReplyDelete- Weis Dark Chocolate & Coconut Sorbet
i eat it too much hahaha but it's dairy free !!!
It wasn't earlier this year due to the xanthum gum being produced with egg with the exception of mango sorbet after a specific expiry date. However now mango sorbet after 12/04/18, lemon sorbet 15/09/18, summer berries sorbet 20/09/18, pineapple coconut and lime sorbet exotics 22/02/18 and dark chocolate and coconut exotics after 21/03/18 expiry dates are all confirmed vegan :))

ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteJust thought I'd add Weiss Chocolate and coconut sorbet (they emailed me to confirm it was vegan), and Smiths Ketchup flavoured chips are vegan (the company confirmed).
Also whenever I've purchased Arnotts Tina Wafers theyve never had milk solids listed, but the internet list does, so maybe they've changed the ingredients?
Hannah
This list is so helpful, thank you for making it! The strawberry cream Oreo's have E120 though which isn't vegan.
ReplyDeleteCOYO !!!!
ReplyDeleteHi Madison,http://www.carmanskitchen.com.au/our-products?diet=vegan
ReplyDeleteNot sure if this has been added in the comments. There were so many and I couldn't read all of them :( My favourite cereal brand is Carman's. They have some vegan products.
Super crackers - pepita and poppy seed, ancient grain, rosemary and sea salt.
Actually. Probably easier for me to post a link
Coles brand Dark Chocolate has changed its recipe and packaging. It is now a matte Red colour, and contains milk products :(
ReplyDeleteThere's a new spread at Coles called "Pureharvest
ReplyDeleteCoco2 Hazelnut Spread" and "Pureharvest
Coco2 Original Spread" which could be a great replacement for Nutella
Coles has changed the "coles dark chocolate" recipe to include milk solids. Pack is now a more plasticky red, changed from a metallic red. It's the same bar code as well. Be warned.
ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteThey've changed the recipe for the Coles brand dark chocolate and unfortunately it now contains milk :(
Coles own brand dark chocolate is no longer vegan :-(
ReplyDeletecoles brand dark chocolate is no longer vegan - contains some milk i believe
ReplyDeleteHi! Thank you so much for the helpful info! Your blog is amazing.
ReplyDeleteAs a new vegan I am loving finding helpful websites like this.
I'd like to add that some of the Clif Energy Bars are Vegan. They use Soy protein and cane syrup etc.
:)
Coles dark chocolate is no longer vegan, although their fancy belgian 70% (and maybe 80%) chocolate in the smaller package is vegan
ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteFirst of all can I say this is a great resource!
But where are all the oats? All the porridge oats are vegan but I didn't see them in cereals. There are too many brands too list.
Regards,
Richard
I am wondering if the lady on the phone at Arnott's was aware that BBQ Shapes contain the 'E' number 635 (Sodium ribonucleotides) which is a flavour enhancer made primarily from meat and sometimes fish too. E635 enhances many other flavours, thereby reducing the amounts of salt or other flavour enhancers needed in a product.
ReplyDeleteHi there,
ReplyDeleteWhat is the best non-fat Greek yogurt that is also vegan friendly?
Thanks!
Can anyone tell me if there are any vegan oyster sauces or kimchi?
ReplyDeleteAyam vegetarian stir fry is close to oyster sauce and vegan and the caramel is 150a and vegan close and you can get it from Woolworths I think. They also have a vegetarian oyster sauce but with oyster flavour so I haven't asked the company if its a flavour that is vegan you might want to check with them :)
DeleteMcVities digestive biscuits contain skim milk powder. So you might want to remove this from your list.
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like Coles no longer offers Tofutti Cream Cheese
ReplyDeleteHey I was also looking for that and couldn't find it. Didn't they also used to have slice cheese?
DeleteI don't think Jatz is vegan. It contains E304 which is sometimes derived from animal fat. :(
ReplyDeleteHi when will the Aldi list be going up? :)
ReplyDeleteHey Madison i have heard that the Abbotts original BBQ shapes are no longer vegan
