I have had a few people email me and ask about transforming their fridge into a vegan fridge. If you are new to veganism, you may have some trouble deciding what your new staple items will be. You no longer have your normal dairy items, meat items or other animal products... so what will you have to buy? Here is a list of the staples I always keep in my fridge. :)

    1. Hi Samantha,
Vegemite is an Australian brown paste made from yeast extract. We like to use it as a sandwich or toast spread. It is really strong tasting and tastes very salty. Yummy yummy. It tastes like Marmite if you have ever tried that :)

    2. What I'm wonderng about is cheese. I'm a vegetarian, trying to work my way towards veganism but the cheese is holding me back (I love it). What are my options?

    3. Hello! Well so far I have tried a couple of toffuti cheeses which are really nice. You can purchase the Toffuti Cheese slices from Coles. On the other hand, Cheezly does some nice rolls that are great for on the tops of pizzas! :) You should go to your local health food store and ask about your options. Every store stocks different things :)

    4. FutureMrsCampo, there are TONS of vegan cheeses! Daiya makes very good shreds that are super melty on pizzy and pasta, and there are also plenty of nut cheeses. You can buy them from the store, or youtube how to make your own! (Almond cheese is so far my favourite :) ). You can also buy rice cheese! I'm Canadian, so I don't think it would be too different over there.

    1. Hello!

I use the Pataks brand of Indian curry pastes and the green and red curry pastes from Aldi. Only ones that I have found that are vegan :)
